In 2004, 2005 and 2006, Bill was named in Virginia Business Magazine as one of Virginia's "Legal Elite" in the category of Civil Litigation. He practiced in the State and Federal courts in Northern Virginia for several years before moving to Middlesex County in 1979. He and his wife, Blair, are avid sailors. They have three daughters, all students at or graduates of the University of Virginia.
