Litigation and Appeals

We’re a constant in a world full of surprises

He has litigated in more than half of the jurisdictions in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has tried Stan Murphymore than 175 jury cases. His appellate work includes cases in the Virginia Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

At Dunton, Simmons & Dunton, he handles commercial litigation disputes of all types, construction and real estate disputes, personal injury claims, and management side labor claims. He also leads our appellate practice.

Wesley M. CharltonWes Charlton is a new addition to our litigation team, adding even more local sensitivity to serving the needs of our clients. Wes was raised on the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula and before joining us he practiced with an outstanding local firm. He currently serves as town attorney for Irvington, Virginia and is expanding our municipal and county law capabilities.

At Dunton Simmons and Dunton, Wes maintains a diverse general litigation practice and collaborates with our estate planning and business attorneys.
